PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peptide for a vaccine against Helicobacter pylori, a gene encoding the peptide, a transformant with the gene introduced therein, and a method for utilizing them. SOLUTION: The peptide is (a) a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence of NH2-SVELIDIGGNRRIFGFNALVDR-CO2H, and forming an antibody against an urease of the Helicobacter pylori by an immune reaction, or (b) a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence having one or more substituted, deleted, inserted and/or added amino acids in the amino acid sequence represented in (a), and forming an antibody against the urease of the Helicobacter pylori by the immune reaction.
