PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the accuracy in the measurement of the mass of a subject by an X-ray measurement apparatus.SOLUTION: A fan beam-shaped X ray is projected to a plurality of detection elements 32a from an X-ray irradiator 30. A surface density of each subject part 22a is calculated based on each detection data set (attenuation of the X ray) detected by each detection element 32a. A body thickness of each subject part 22a is also calculated based on each detection data set. A virtual measuring surface is defined at a center location of each subject part 22a in a body thickness direction based on the calculated body thickness. The surface density of each subject part 22a is multiplied by the area of each virtual measuring surface defined in each subject part 22a to calculate a plurality of element unit masses indicating the masses of respective subject parts 22a.
