SOLUTION: The rat repelling coating material containing a rat repellent is obtained by dissolving and in a temperature environment of 0-60° C, 2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol in a solvent or a non-ionic surfactant having flowability in the temperature environment of performing dissolution at the ratio of (the solvent or the surfactant): (2-isopropyl-5-methylphenol) =0.1: 1 to 10:1, and then mixing it with a coating material.
