The neutral collagen used in the composition includes neutral succinylated collagen. The composition is capable of contacting the wound or to an open ulcer and thus the collagen breaks down and the Gentamicin is released into the wound or ulcer for effective healing. The wound healing composition of the present invention is devoid of the side effect of burning sensation due to presence of succynilated collagen which swells in neutral pH and thus overcoming the condition of acidic collagen pH.
