The benzylamine derivative represented by the formula below and apharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, and a pharmaceuticalcontaining the derivative or the pharmaceutically acceptable acid additionsalt thereof,and a therapeutic or prophylactic agent for pollakiuria or urinaryincontinencecontaining the derivative or the pharmaceutically acceptable acid additionsalt thereofare provided. The benzylamine derivative of the present invention and thepharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof have less possibilityofoccurrence of side effects than known compounds, and show a better therapeuticeffect against pollakiuria or urinary incontinence, so that they can be usedasexcellent therapeutic or prophylactic agents for pollakiuria or urinaryincontinence.(see above formula)
