PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical member for a fishing rod, in which uneven patterns can be easily formed on the surface thereof and the specifications of the uneven patterns can be easily changed, and to provide a method for manufacturing the cylindrical member for a fishing rod.SOLUTION: The cylindrical member for a fishing rod is made of a prepreg impregnated reinforced fibers with a resin, and has its outer circumference surface formed with a molding tape pattern 105 of the molding tape wound on the prepreg and removed after heated and calcined. A transfer recess 106 transferred by an uneven transfer material is formed on the molding tape pattern 105.
