PURPOSE: Meat-based semi-moist animal food and a producing method thereof are provided to offer the proper nutrition of the food to users by containing high content of meat. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of meat-based semi-moist animal food is obtained by inserting the following ingredients into an extruder(10)； dried meat, meat meal, dried fish, or fish meal； meat or fish； water or steam. All the ingredients contain more than 80wt% of the food. The ingredients are mixed by supplying thermal and mechanical energy, and formed into an extruded material by compressing the mixture with a die.
