A packaged intermittent urinary catheter having a longitudinally extendingpackage and acatheter movement control device. The catheter movement control device isdisposed within thepackage and has a monolithic planar locking member and a one-way valve. Themonolithiclocking member has longitudinally spaced upper and lower surfaces, laterallyspaced ends, andtransversely spaced front and back edges. The valve is disposed through theupper and lowersurfaces of the locking member and configured and arranged for receipt of thecatheter tube andto advance the tube through the locking member in the first longitudinaldirection only.
