An object of the present invention is to provide an anticancer agent that enhances the antitumor effect, reduces side effects, and further extends the survival rate when used in combination with a component having an anticancer activity. It is an anticancer agent combined with a component having an action, and the anticancer agent may be a combination agent, or may be a kit composed of a preparation containing archigenin and a preparation containing a component having anticancer action. In combination with a component having anticancer activity, the tumor growth can be suppressed more strongly and the ratio of cancer stem cells in the tumor can be decreased, thereby extending the overall survival time and having anticancer activity.
