Disclosed herein is are 2-imino-pyridine-3-carboxamide compounds for formula (I), wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification (in particular 5-chloro-1-[5-chloro-2-(methylsulfonyl)benzyl]-2-imino-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide； 5-chloro-1-[5-chloro-2-thylsulfinyl)benzyl]-2-imino-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide； 5-chloro-1-[5-fluoro-2-(methylsulfonyl)benzyl]-2-imino-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide； 5-chloro-1-[2-(ethylsulfonyl)-5-fluorobenzyl]-2-imino-1,2-dihydropyridine-3-carboxamide ), processes for their preparation, compositions/pharmaceutical agents comprising said compounds and uses thereof. Said compounds are useful for their selective (alpha) á1D adrenergic receptor antagonistic action and are therefore useful as an agent for the prophylaxis or treatment of a lower urinary tract disease.
