PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embolus capturing device capable of coping with various situations inside a lumen and more surely capturing an embolus.SOLUTION: The embolus capturing device 10 for capturing and removing the embolus inside the lumen of a living body includes: a long shaft member 11 whose distal end side is sent out into the lumen a flexible distal end guide part 12 disposed at the distal end of the shaft member 11 and embolus capturing filters 13, 23 provided with filter parts 14, 24 in a basket shape, which are formed of a mesh constituted of wires having elasticity or shape-memory property, contracted inside a catheter for device conveyance and expanded when discharged into the lumen from the catheter, and binding parts 16, 26 for binding the wires constituting the filter parts 14, 24 on the distal end side and the proximal end side, respectively.
