Three-dimensional objects (2004) are produced from a deformable material(2002) received substantially continuously in the direction of production(2003) and the objects are produced by a deforming process substantially inthe direction of production. Rotatable devices (1903-1908) are arranged todeform a respective section of the deformable material with at least one ofthe rotatable devices being shaped so as to vary the extent of deformationapplied to the deformable material periodically as a deformable materialpasses through in the direction of production.
