PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of securing a sufficient curving property even if the diameter of an insertion section is narrowed.
SOLUTION: This endoscope 1 is provided with: the insertion section 3 having a curving section at its distal end a curving wire 20 advanceably/retractably inserted into the insertion section and pulling the curving section to curvingly operate it a swelling body 32 swelling when fluid is passed therein a fiber body for regulating the extension of the swelling body in the direction of an axis C when swelling regulation bodies 34 for regulating the swelling of the swelling body at a plurality of points along the axial direction an actuator 21 for advancingly/retractingly operating the curving wire in the insertion section a connection body 22 connected to the insertion section and axially movably supporting the actuator and a partition member 23 provided in the insertion section to partition a space in the insertion section and disposed with the actuator in a space dedicated for the actuator alone wherein the partition member has a flat and smooth plane facing the actuator.
