A handheld device for application to a skin surface of a human or animal includes a housing arranged and configured for gripping by a human hand, a body-care surface operatively connected to the housing arranged and configured to transfer heat and motion to the skin surface, a motion-generating system contained within the housing, and a heat-generating element thermally coupled to the body-care surface. The motion-generating system includes a motor operatively coupled to the body-care surface to impart motion thereto and electrically coupled to an internal electric power source contained within the housing. The heat-generating element includes a container having at least one thermally conductive surface enclosing an electric heater in thermal contact with a thermal energy storage medium and an electrical connection for selective coupling to an external electrical power source.Cette invention concerne un dispositif portatif de soin corporel à appliquer sur la surface cutanée de lhomme ou de lanimal, ledit dispositif comportant un boîtier conçu et configuré pour tenir dans la main de lhomme, la face en contact avec la peau étant connectée de manière opérationnelle au boîtier qui transfère chaleur et mouvement à la surface cutanée le dispositif comporte également un système générateur de mouvements logé dans le boîtier, et un élément calogène thermiquement couplé à la face en contact avec la peau. Le système générateur de mouvements comprend un moteur couplé de manière opérationnelle à la face en contact avec la peau de manière à lui conférer des mouvements et couplé de manière électrique à une source dalimentation électrique interne logée dans le boîtier. Lélément calogène comprend un récipient dont au moins une face thermoconductrice enferme un élément chauffant électrique en contact thermique avec un support de stockage dénergie thermique, et une connexion électrique pour un couplage sélectif à une source dalimentation électrique externe.
