Described are various embodiments of micro-optical surgical probes and micro-opticalprobe tips and methods of manufacture therefor. In some embodiments,multichannelmicro-optical probe tip structures are directly manufactured upon respectiveopticalchannel waveguides, or again manufactured to integrally define respectiveopticalcoupling to these waveguides. In some embodiments, micro-optical probe tipstructuresare manufactured via a 3D laser printing process. Specific embodimentsinclude, but arenot limited to, spectroscopic or particularly Raman spectroscopy probes andtheirassociated multichannel probe tip structures, and multichannel endoscopes.
