A synergistic microbicidal composition having two components. The first component is a nonionic surfactant with structure: R10(CH2CH(CH3)0)5(CH2CH20)9H, where R1 is a C8alkyl group. The second component is a sorbate salt. Alternatively, the first component is a nonionic surfactant with structure: R2 0(CH2CH(CH3)0)3(CH2CH20) nH, where R2 is a mixture of C8-C14 linear alkyl groups and n is 5 or 7. The second component is a benzoate salt or a sorbate salt.La présente invention concerne une composition microbicide synergique contenant deux composants. Le premier composant est un tensioactif non ionique ayant la structure : R10(CH2CH(CH3)0)5(CH2CH20)9H, dans laquelle R1 représente un groupe alkyle en C8. Le second composant est un sel sorbate. En variante, le premier composant est un tensioactif non ionique ayant la structure : R2 0(CH2CH(CH3)0)3(CH2CH20) nH, dans laquelle R2 représente un mélange de groupes alkyles linéaires en C8-C14 et n vaut 5 ou 7. Le second composant est un sel benzoate ou un sel sorbate.
