PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder and granular materials sterilizer in which powder and granular materials such as a food product are continuously sterilized by using high pressure superheated steam.SOLUTION: A powder and granular materials sterilizer comprises four zones consisting of: a sterilization zone in which powder and granular materials are heated to be sterilized by continuously supplying the powder and granular materials and superheated steam a solid-gas separation zone in which the powder and granular materials are separated from the superheated steam a cooling zone in which the powder and granular materials are cooled and a product recovery zone in which the powder and granular materials are recovered as a product. An entrance of the sterilization zone is disposed with a high pressure rotary valve that supplies the powder and granular materials, and a pressure application nozzle is disposed between the sterilization zone and the solid-gas separation zone.
