The present invention as a composition for whitening teeth comprising peroxides or a (pretreatment) composition for improving tooth-whitening effects of a patch, is applied on the surface of teeth before using the patch or the composition for whitening teeth, wherein the (pretreatment) composition comprises a metal salt catalyst for discharging trivalent metal ions in a state of an aqueous solution and, particularly, significantly desirable iron chloride (III).
