The catheter according to claim 1, further comprising a lead wire extending through the elongated body, the control handle including a second control element configured to actuate the lead wire to retract a portion of the elongated body. The catheter according to claim 4, wherein the width and length of the support member with square shape memory is between 0.015 and 0.030 cm (six and twelve thousandths of an inch). The catheter according to claim 5, wherein the width and length of the support member with square shape memory are 0.023 cm (nine thousandths of an inch). The catheter according to claim 1, wherein the support member with shape memory has a lumen, and further comprising a mandrin adapted to be inserted through the lumen in the support member with shape memory, wherein the mandrin has a shape other than a spiral1.
