PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide spherical powder to which hydrophobicity is imparted, which is surface-coated with spherical zinc oxide powder, in which the control of particle diameter and form is attainable, produced by an environmentally friendly, simple, low-cost method, and to provide a cosmetic which has an excellent sense of use by being blended with the spherical powder.SOLUTION: The spherical zinc oxide powder is produced by mixing a water-soluble zinc compound, glycol and an amine compound and performing soft solution reaction at 50 to 100°C, and in which spherical particles with primary particle diameters of 5 to 200 nm are accumulated to form spheres of 20 to 5,000 nm or obtained by firing the spherical zinc oxide powder at 300 to 1,500°C, by subjecting the surface of the spherical zinc oxide powder to coating treatment with one or more kinds of compounds selected from polysiloxane, an alkyl alkoxysilane compound, an alkyl titanate compound and a fluorine compound. Further, the spherical powder is blended into a cosmetic.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】環境に優しく、簡便で低コストな方法にて、粒子径および形態の制御が可能な球状酸化亜鉛粉体を製造し、この球状酸化亜鉛粉体を表面被覆した疎水性が付与された球状粉体を提供し、この球状粉体を配合することによって、使用感の優れた化粧料を提供する。【解決手段】水溶性亜鉛化合物とグリコールとアミン化合物とを混合し、50℃~100℃でソフト溶液反応を行うことにより製造され、一次粒子が5~200nmの球状粒子が集積し、20~5000nmの球状を形成している球状酸化亜鉛粉体、又は、該球状酸化亜鉛粉体を300℃~1500℃で焼成した球状酸化亜鉛粉体を用いて、その球状酸化亜鉛粉体の表面に、ポリシロキサン、アルキルアルコキシシラン化合物、アルキルチタネート化合物及びフッ素化合物から選ばれる1種又は2種以上の化合物で被覆処理して球状粉体を得る。また、この球状粉体を化粧料に配合する。【選択図】図1
