PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method and inspection device of a clam capable of facilitating automated determination on quality by a control part of a computer or the like and simplifying a process in conducting non-destructive inspection of the clam.
SOLUTION: Light including infrared radiation is irradiated on the clam. Transmitted light transmitting the clam and reflected light reflecting on the clam out of the irradiated light are received. The quality of the clam is inspected by comparing the first intensity as the intensity of a predetermined wavelength component in a range of 1,040-1,140 nm of the received transmitted light or reflected light, and the second intensity as the intensity of a predetermined wavelength component in a range of 1,150-1,370 nm of the transmitted light or reflected light received by a light receiving part.
