In addition, the ingestion-adjusted feed block allows the animal to ingest by licking part of the low moisture block material in order to ingest the control feed material in and adjacent to the ingestion control pocket. It includes an intake restriction matrix of a low moisture block material that is disposed on the control feed material to form an intake control pocket to regulate intake. A method for manufacturing such a block is also disclosed.
