PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device and method for monitoring an extracorporeal blood treatment device.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a monitoring device 1 for monitoring an extracorporeal blood treatment device, such as a dialysis machine 2, which includes an extracorporeal blood circuit having an arterial blood line 12 with an arterial patient port 13 and a venous blood line 14 with a venous patient port 16, and a dialysis fluid system which has a dialysis fluid supply line and a dialysis fluid drain line.
