CHIMERIC DELTA ENDOTOXIN PROTEIN WITH IMPROVED INSECTICIDAL ACTIVITY? The present invention relates to develop a chimeric delta endotoxin protein, a novel hybrid Bt toxin constructed by domain shuffling between Cry1Ac and Cry9Aa. Herein, the novel Bt hybrid construct of chimeric delta endotoxin protein is having coding nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID No. 1, encoding the said chimeric protein, which is having an extra ordinary insecticidal property with unique domain election from the parent Cry toxins i.e. Cry1Ac and Cry9Aa. And to provide potent insecticidal hybrid Bt toxin turning out to be an excellent biocontrol agent.
