[Problem] To provide a method for using D-allose as a therapeutic agent or prophylactic agent for various kinds of diseases depending on cancer cells or as a starting material of these medicines.[Solution] A composition for inhibiting glucose transporter-1 expression by cancer cells, said composition comprising D-allose； and a method for inhibiting glucose transporter-1 expression by cancer cells in a subject, said method comprising administering the aforesaid composition to the subject who needs the same.
