PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a rod to be held by a tail plug in a fishing rod used by connecting multiple rods.SOLUTION: In a fishing rod in one embodiment, a tail plug is detachably provided at a hand-side end of a fishing rod body part and a tip rod whose hand-side end is held by the tail plug is stored in the fishing rod body part. A hand-side end of the tail plug is stored inside in a radial direction of a rear grip.
