An example of an information processing system obtains sensor information that includes information related to heart beat and/or pulse of a user, from a sensor which senses biological information of the user in a state where the sensor is not in contact with the user. The sensor is, for example, a Doppler sensor. The information processing system calculates an index indicating a degree of fatigue of the user, based on the sensor information. The index may be calculated by a system on a terminal side, or may be calculated by a system on a server side. The information processing system presents, to the user, information related to the index.
