The present invention provides protein tyrosine phosphates IB (PTP IB) inhibitors. In particular, dibenzo[b,d]furan derivatives described herein are useful as protein tyrosine phosphates IB inhibitors, methods of treating diseases, disorders, conditions modulated by protein tyrosine phosphates IB. Also provided herein are processes for preparing compounds described herein, intermediates used in their synthesis, pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and methods for treating or preventing diseases, conditions and/or disorders modulated by protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B.
