PURPOSE: A three-dimensional dental scanner and a scanning method using the same are provided to variously constitute patterns in a desired form.CONSTITUTION: A three-dimensional dental scanner comprises a digital projector(10), a camera(20), an optical system(30), a processing unit(50), and a housing(40). The digital projector forms a predetermined pattern in the light coming out from a light source and projects a pattern light to an oral subject. The camera senses a two-dimensional video formed by a light reflected from the oral subject. The optical system controls the pattern light and reflection light. The processing unit transmits predetermined pattern information to the digital projector, controls the digital projector and camera, and receives two-dimensional video information.
