[PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED]When one end portion of a tubular body is operated, the tubular body shall prevent a deviation of wires, improve a torque transmissibility and pushing force to the other end portion of the tubular body, and improve insertability of a medical device into an interior of the tubular body. Further, the tubular body shall improve flexibility and durability.[SOLUTION]A tubular body 1 is configured from eight first wires (3a ∼ 3h) and eight second wires (5a ∼ 5h) twisted into a hollow tubular configuration so that the first wires and second wires are alternately arranged with each other, wherein each of the first wires (3a ∼ 3h) has a substantially circular cross-section, each of the second wires (5a ∼ 5h) has recesses in contact portions opposite to adjacent first wires (5ar, 5as, 5br, 5bs, 5cr · · · 5hs), and has a convex outer arc (5ap, 5bp etc.) and a convex inner arc (5aq, 5bq etc.) in a cross-sectional view.
