PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device and a system capable of non-invasively and easily estimating the health condition of a subject. An electronic device includes a sensor unit that acquires a pulse wave and a control unit that calculates an index based on the acquired pulse wave, and the control unit uses the calculated index to measure glucose metabolism of the subject. Alternatively, the state of lipid metabolism is estimated. The blood glucose level or lipid level is estimated by substituting the pulse wave velocity, the magnitude of the reflected wave, and the ratio of the reflected wave and the forward wave obtained from the pulse wave before and after the meal into the blood sugar or lipid estimation formula.
