PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothen pointed tip portions of fibers on the cut surfaces of a mattress material having a three-dimensional net-like structure body so as to re-fuse the fibers on the cut surfaces to each other.SOLUTION: An apparatus for processing a cotton pad material for an anti-decubitus mattress comprises: a table 10 an outer frame 20 a bendability applying processing apparatus 30 and a cut surface smoothing processing apparatus 40. The cut surface smoothing processing apparatus 40 includes: a horizontally guiding apparatus 41 a traveling base 42 which horizontally travels on the horizontally guiding apparatus 41 a hot wind blowing apparatus 50 provided on the top surface of the traveling base 42 a cut surface pressing apparatus 60 provided on the top surface of the traveling base 42 and a cooling apparatus 70 provided on the top surface of the traveling base 42. The hot wind blowing apparatus 50 includes a blower 51 with a heater and a forked nozzle 52 having a crab pincers-like shape provided in a blowing opening of the blower 51, and blows hot wind from an upper side and lower side of a cotton pad material 2 toward the cut surface of the material. The cut surface pressing apparatus 60 includes a drum-like roller 61.
