The invention relates to a method for recovering inert or living microparticles, during which a rising liquid column under partial vacuum of an aqueous effluent including inert or living microparticles is formed, and foam is separated from the top of the riser in a multiphase effluent enriched with inert or living microparticles relative to the aqueous effluent and in a mostly liquid effluent depleted of inert or living microparticles relative to the aqueous effluent. The invention also relates to the various uses of said method, as well as to a facility implementing said method.
