The invention applies to devices used for waterweed cutting in water reservoirs, in particular to aquatic plant cutters. The tool consists of a belt with cutting blades, a guiding device and sheaves for belt propulsion and support. The support sheave is in the form of a cylindrical disc whose diameter exceeds the distance between the guiding device grooves. Support plates and blades for transportation of plant mass are attached to the belt. In separate cases, blades for the transportation of plant mass have a truncated conical shape. The belt cutter is intended for removing waterweed from water reservoirs.
