PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slug compact that can prevent pH rise in water environment and enables diffusion of effective components in the water environment.SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of: preparing slug granules 2 made from at least one of the steel slug particles and steel slug powder and forming coating 3 on the surface of the slug granules 2, where the coating 3 is made from acidic soil such as red soil or humic soil, and the coating 3 contains lignin sulfonic acid or a metal salt thereof. The lignin sulfonic acid improves adhesion of the coating 3, and the coating 3 prevents pH rise in the water environment due to free lime eluting from the steel slug without inhibiting elution of nutrient components from the steel slug.COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】水環境のpHの上昇を抑止できるとともに、水環境における有効成分を溶出できるスラグ成形体を提供する。【解決手段】粒状の製鋼スラグおよび製鋼スラグ粉末の少なくとも一方を主原料とするスラグ粒体2を備える。また、このスラグ粒体2の表面に被覆部3を形成する。この被覆部3は、赤土や腐植土などの酸性土壌を主原料とする。また、被覆部3は、リグニンスルホン酸またはその金属塩を含有する。このようにリグニンスルホン酸により被覆部3の密着性を向上できる。そして、被覆部3によって製鋼スラグに起因するフリーライムの溶出による水環境のpHの上昇を抑制できるとともに、海洋生物の生育環境における栄養成分などの有効成分を溶出できる。【選択図】図1
