PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent composition that can be treated excellently with enhanced blocking resistance, particularly with enhanced blocking resistance in a hot environment.SOLUTION: A coating agent composition contains shellac, an organic acid salt or mineral salt, and alcohol as essential ingredients, wherein the shellac and organic acid salt or mineral salt are dissolved in the alcohol. Preferably, the shellac is a decolorized shellac. The organic acid salt is preferably an acetate, such as sodium acetate, or an oleate, such as sodium oleate, and the mineral salt is preferably a chloride of calcium or magnesium, such as calcium chloride or magnesium chloride.
