A tactile display (1) comprises a tactile sense presenting member (31) and tactile pins (33). The tactile sense presenting member (31) has a predetermined first surface on which a finger of a hand (7) of a human being is placed and holes in the first surface. The tactile pins (33) project from the holes and are movable at least parallel to the first surface. The ends of the tactile pins (33) are touched by the finger of the hand (7) of the human being, and the tactile sense corresponding to the texture of the surface of the object and the sense of torque of the object are presented to the finger of the human being.
