PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device that utilizes a drag mechanism with both bearing reels in which a fishing line may become loose by wind and the flow of tide and get twisted up in the front side of a spool when a fishing line begins to be reeled from the spool of a drag-free state at the beginning of fishing by both bearing reels, and therefore the drawing condition of the fishing line is needed to be finely adjusted in order to prevent it, consequently, there is a product provided with a brake device capable of being operated by the left hand from a reel body side surface on the other side of a handle however, special parts such as a push button, a cylindrical body, a slide shaft, a coil spring, an abrasion resistant brake-shoe are necessary, and further, special work such as forming a circular groove with a brake-shoe inserted therein in the side surface of the spool becomes necessary, and thereby many assembling man-hours are required to cause cost increase.SOLUTION: A pressing member capable of pressing and operating a spool shaft from a side of a reel body is provided in a fishing reel with a drag mechanism, and thereby a braking device is provided for bringing a first friction plate of the drag mechanism into abutment with a second friction plate by the press of the pressing member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3【課題】両軸受けリールによる釣り開始時、ドラグフリー状態のスプールから釣り糸が繰りだされるとき、風や潮の流れによって釣り糸が弛みスプールの前側で絡まる虞があり、それを防止するために釣り糸の引き出し具合を細かに調整する必要である。このために、ハンドルの反対側のリール本体側面から左手によって操作可能なブレーキ装置が設けられたものがあるが、押しボタン、筒体、スライド軸、コイルバネ、耐摩耗性のブレーキシュー等の特別な部品が必要であり、更に、ブレーキシューが挿入される円形状の溝をスプールの側面に形成する等の特別な加工が必要となり、組み立て工数も多くコストアップとなる。本発明は、両軸受けリールに備えたドラグ機構を有効利用するブレーキ装置を提供する。【解決手段】ドラグ機構を備えた魚釣り用リールにおいて、リール本体の側方からスプール軸を押圧操作可能とする押圧部材を設け、押圧部材の押圧によりドラグ機構の第1摩擦板を第2摩擦板に当接させるブレーキ装置とする。【選択図】図3
