The present invention relates to an apparatus for evaluating the autonomic nervous system balance and control capability and a method for controlling the same capable of providing a multidimensional output report wherein each of HRV indexes are interlocked by using standard scores (deviation value) based on gender and age statistics with respect to each of HRV indexes such as LF, LFnorm, HF, HR, RMSSD or the like., and organically identifying and evaluating the autonomic nervous system balance and control capability according to each of HRV indexes at one view. According to the present invention, multiple dividing lines which are the lines passing through the center point are equipped, and a graph indicating HRV index on the dividing lines is generated. Moreover, a calculation processing part receives a heart rate signal detected by a heart rate detection sensor, detects HRV indexes by using heart rate variability (HRV), converts the HRV index obtained by the calculation processing part into Z scores, obtains deviation by using the converted Z scores, and indicates the same on the dividing line.본 발명은, LF, LFnorm, HF, HR, RMSSD 등의 각 HRV 지수(index)에 대해, 성별, 연령별 통계치를 기반으로 표준점수(편차치)를 사용하여 각 HRV 지수들이 서로 연동된 다차원 출력보고서를 제공하며, 각 HRV 지수에 따라, 자율신경의 균형 및 조절능력을 한눈에 유기적으로 파악하고 평가할 수 있게 하는 자율신경 균형 및 조절능력을 평가 장치 및 그 제어 방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명은, 중앙점을 지나는 선인 분할선을 다수개 구비하되, 상기 분할선상에 HRV 지수를 나타내도록 하는 그래프를 생성하는 자율신경 균형 및 조절능력의 평가 장치 및 제어방법에 있어서, 심박 검출센서에서 검출된 심박신호를 연산처리부가 수신하여, 심박변이도(HRV)를 이용하여 HRV 지수를 검출하고, 연산처리부에서 구하여진 HRV 지수를 Z점수(Z score)로 변환하고, 변환된 Z점수를 이용하여 편차를 구하여, 분할선상에 표시하는 것을 특징으로 한다.
