PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for hair restoration excellent in a hair restoration effect.SOLUTION: In the external preparation for hair restoration related to this invention, the closed endoplasmic reticulum formed with amphiphile which forms a closed endoplasmic reticulum spontaneously, or polycondensation polymer particles which have a hydroxyl group are dispersed in water. And the external preparation for hair restoration related to this invention comprises an O/W type emulsion comprising an emulsifier composed of the closed endoplasmic reticulum formed with amphiphile which forms a closed endoplasmic reticulum spontaneously, or polycondensation polymer particles which have a hydroxyl group. Preferably, the closed endoplasmic reticulum or the polycondensation polymer particles have an average particle diameter of 8 nm or more and 500 nm or less.
