PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can be firmly attached to underwear by preventing wrinkles, twisting or turnup of wing-like flaps.SOLUTION: There is provided a sanitary napkin in which an absorbent body 4 is intervened between a liquid-transmissive surface sheet 3 and a rear surface sheet 2, and wing-like flaps W, W to be fixed so as to drag a crotch part of underwear in attaching are formed on both side portions respectively. A plurality of line-like embosses 10, 10, ..., each having an inner side end 10a on an intermediate of a width direction of the wing-like flaps W, W and an outer side end 10b on the front end outer edge of the flaps or near them are formed on the flaps W, W. With this configuration, the stiffness of the wing-like flaps W is improved and wrinkles etc. are prevented from occurring during attaching the napkin 1.
