In order to assure, that the web (32) is surely caught, when it shall be transported by pressing means (24) into the bale chamber (16), the feeder (40) is provided with at least one partially or totally elastic web sheet (126, 132) extending toward the bale chamber (16) and acting onto a free portion of the web (32).
