PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce side lobe components included in a demodulation signal.
SOLUTION: An FM modulator 18 generates an FM continuous wave. A transmission wave corresponding to the FM continuous wave is transmitted by a transmission vibrator 10. A pre-amplifier 24 and a main amplifier 26 apply amplifying processing to a wave receiving signal supplied by a reception vibrator 12, form a received RF signal, and output it to a reception mixer 28. A reference signal supplied for the reception mixer 28 is the FM continuous wave generated by the FM modulator 18 the FM continuous wave generated by the FM modulator 18 has weighting processing applied to the amplitude at a weighting processing part 16b, and further has delay processing applied at a delay circuit 17, and is supplied to the reception mixer 28. By the weighting processing at the weighting processing part 16b and the delay processing at the delay circuit 17, side lobes included in a demodulation signal output by the reception mixer 28 are reduced.
