A knee joint orthosis which includes: an inner support mechanism (1b) to be positioned on the inside of a knee joint an outer support mechanism (1a) to be positioned on the outside of the knee joint an inner upper arm (10b) that is pivotally mounted at an upper end side of the inner support mechanism (1b) an inner lower arm (20b) that is pivotally mounted at a lower end side of the inner support mechanism (1b) an outer upper arm (10a) that is pivotally mounted at an upper end side of the outer support mechanism (1a) and an outer lower arm (20a) that is pivotally mounted at a lower end side of the outer support mechanism (1a). The inner support mechanism (1b) and the outer support mechanism (1a) are each configured with a link mechanism having four link members (10a, 10b, 20a, 20b, 71a, 71b, 72a, 72b) and four joints (73a, 73b, 74a, 74b, 75a, 75b, 76a, 76b).
