The present invention addresses the problem of providing: an early-stage diagnosis marker for an early symptom of a renal function disorder; and a method for evaluating the diagnosis marker. Particularly, the present invention addresses the problem of providing: an evaluation marker which can diagnose an early-stage symptom of diabetic nephropathy accurately; and a method for evaluating the evaluation marker. For the purpose of solving the above-mentioned problems, the present inventors find that the renal function can be evaluated more accurately by an immune-complex transfer enzyme immunoassay (ICT-EIA) method employing the ratio of an adiponectin concentration in urine to an adiponectin concentration in blood as an evaluation marker. As a result, it becomes possible to know the progress state of a renal function disorder and the effect of an interventional therapy on the renal function disorder accurately.
