The invention relates to the treatment of an attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) with alpha-phenyl(piperidin-2-yl)methanol, or the pharmaceutically acceptable salts and esters thereof, in particular the acetate derivative, more particularly dextrophacetoperane.
