PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for easy creation of an electronic document which is capable of displaying a three-dimensional organ model from a medical image, in particular to provide a mechanism for creation of an electronic document which is capable of specifying and displaying a desired organ model.SOLUTION: A medical image processing apparatus according to the present invention includes control means for exerting control such that an electronic document of a three-dimensional organ model is created in which a three-dimensional organ model specified from medical image data is managed in a form of the model being divided into a plurality of layers and showing and hiding are switchable for each of the managed layers.
