A treatment device for an animal is provided. The devicecomprises a treatment member (1), having a first end and a second end, alongitudinal rotary axis (X) extending through the treatment member andthe first and second ends. Driving means is connected to the treatmentmember and brings about a rotational movement of the treatment memberaround the longitudinal rotary axis. A carrying member (2) carriesthe treatment member and the driving means, and an anchorage member(4) anchors the carrying member to a stationary element. The carryingmember comprises a first pivotal connection (3), permitting the treatmentmember to swing about a first axis (Y) and is further connected to theanchorage member via a second pivotal connection (5), permitting thetreatment member to swing about a second axis (Z). The second pivotalconnection is provided laterally closer to the anchorage member than tothe first pivotal connection.
