PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for utilizing a compound useful for preventing or ameliorating myopathy with protein accumulation, and to provide a method for screening the compound.SOLUTION: Geldanamycin is useful as a preventive/therapeutic agent for myopathy with protein accumulation or as an inhibitor for protein accumulation in muscle fibers or the like.
