PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aquatic environment preservation container body permitting the quicker supply of nutrition from a manure material to a water area and the more effective supply of nutrition for the luxuriant growth of algae and microorganisms in regard to the aquatic environment preservation container body for supplying nutrition to algae, microorganisms, etc. to cause the luxuriant growth of algae and microorganisms for the preservation of an aquatic environment.SOLUTION: An aquatic environment preservation container body is formed by storing a manure material containing steel slag, or a water permeable bag body filled with the manure material, in a container of box shape comprising a bottom face part serving as an installation face, and an upper face part and side wall parts. A plurality of apertures are formed in the upper face part and the bottom face part such that the ratio of the total area of the apertures to the total area of the upper face part, bottom face part and side wall parts is 0.2-2.0% and that the ratio of an area of the apertures formed in the bottom face part to the total area of the apertures formed in the whole container is 30-50%.【課題】藻類や微生物等に対して栄養分を供給し、藻類や微生物を繁茂させて水域環境を保全するための水域環境保全容器体において、施肥材料による栄養分がより迅速に水域に供給され、かつ藻類や微生物の繁茂にとってより効果的に栄養が供給される水域環境保全容器体を提供する。【解決手段】設置面となる底面部と上面部と側壁部とからなる箱型の容器内に、鉄鋼スラグを含有する施肥材料、或いはこの施肥材料を充填させた透水性の袋体が収容されてなる水域環境保全容器体において、上面部と底面部と側壁部の合計面積に対する開口の総面積の比率が０．２～２．０％であり、かつ容器全体に形成された開口の合計面積に対する底面部に形成された開口の面積の比率が３０～５０％であるように、上面部と底面部に複数の開口を形成する。【選択図】図１
